Museo Ottocento Bologna, Piazza San Michele 4C, Bologna
On the occasion of the 180th anniversary of the birth of Luigi Serra (1846-1888), the Museo Ottocento Bologna dedicates a monographic exhibition to the Bolognese painter, a leading figure in history painting and portraiture of the late 19th century. The exhibition revolves around the painting "Ritratto di signora (Enrica Merlani)", created in 1888 and from the MAMbo collections, and traces Serra's entire artistic production, offering a glimpse into his chromatic research and his short but intense career.
