La tana delle storie: Lanterne di San Martino
Biblioteca Comunale di Canossa - L.L. Ghirardini, Piazza Matilde di Canossa, Ciano d'Enza
Organised by Comune di Canossa
The Biblioteca Comunale di Canossa is offering an afternoon for children aged 3 to 10 on Wednesday 4 November dedicated to San Martino and the lantern tradition. It starts with the reading of the saint's legend, then each participant builds and decorates a lantern with their own hands to take home. In Canossa the occasion has been deeply felt for a long time: on 11 November the town lights up with hundreds of handmade lanterns, 803 in the 2025 edition. The workshop at the library helps the little ones arrive that evening with their own lantern already made. The initiative is part of the La tana delle storie series and is promoted by the Comune di Canossa.
