On 4 November, Cotignola commemorates the fallen of all wars with a ceremony that brings together the main town and the hamlet of Barbiano. The gathering is at 9:45 in piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, in front of the Town Hall, where the procession forms and accompanies the authorities along the stages of the commemoration. Wreaths are laid at the Lapidario of the Chiesa del Pio Suffragio; at the 'Angeli del Senio' primary school, the tribute to the Monument to the Fallen of All Wars is accompanied by the flag-raising and honours to the Fallen. The ceremonies are performed by the Associazione Nazionale Alpini, Cotignola section. The morning concludes in Barbiano, on via Antica Pieve, with the laying of a wreath at the local Monument to the Fallen. The commemoration is organised by the Comune di Cotignola and citizens are invited to attend.
