Ferrara (FE)

Ferrara, centro storico (Piazza Castello, Piazza Trento Trieste, Piazza Municipale, Corso Martiri della Libertà e vie limitrofe)

Open in Google Maps ↗

From August 26 to 30, 2026, the historic center of Ferrara turns into an open-air stage for the 39th edition of the Ferrara Buskers Festival, the international event dedicated to street art. Musicians, jugglers, actors, and performers from all over the world enliven squares and streets with shows ranging from world music to contemporary circus, blending artistic languages and cultures. The festival is a widespread, informal experience: you walk through Piazza Castello, Piazza Trento Trieste, Piazza Municipale, and Corso Martiri della Libertà, letting yourself be surprised at every corner by a different performance. The atmosphere is that of great street festivals, with the audience stopping, listening, participating, and freely deciding whether and how much to leave in the artists' hats. Each evening ends with the Dopofestival in Castello, a moment of celebration and music that extends the energy of the performances late into the night.

Il Monte Analogo. Michelangelo Antonioni e Luigi Ghirri

Ferrara (FE)

The exhibition brings together the "Enchanted Mountains" by Michelangelo Antonioni and the early photographs by Luigi Ghirri, taken in the 1970s. Two different ways of looking at the landscape: on one hand, the small painted compositions by the director, on the other, the black-and-white shots by the photographer from Emilia. Both reflect on emptiness, waiting, and the suspension of time. The images by Antonioni and Ghirri construct mental landscapes where silence becomes the protagonist.
