The Francesco Baracca Museum celebrates its first hundred years with two new exhibition paths, set up in two symbolic locations in Lugo. At the Fabrizio Trisi Library, the exhibition "Quando le ali divennero realtà, Il mito del volo nella Belle Époque" tells, through books, magazines and period images, how the dream of flight conquered the culture, literature, art and collective imagination of the early 20th century. In the Baracca Room of the Rocca estense, "Cavalli Vapore. Una moto, un cappotto e una tuta" intertwines the story of the aviation ace with that of engines and the Prancing Horse. For the first time, a 1904 Peugeot 2 ½ hp is exhibited, alongside a photograph of Baracca riding the same car, together with an original coat and other objects and shots that retrace the bond between the man, the machine and the famous symbol.
