Il cavallino, la morte e il diavolo. Le insegne personali e di reparto dell'aviazione italiana nella Grande Guerra
Pescherie della Rocca, Lugo
Organised by Comune di Lugo
The exhibition brings back to attention the personal and unit insignia that Italian aviation pilots painted on their aircraft during the Great War, a heritage of symbols that remained long in the shadow of Francesco Baracca's famous prancing horse. Alongside the emblems, relics from important museums and collections are on display, including the Museo Storico dell'Aeronautica Militare and the Museo Storico Italiano della Guerra. The exhibition is held at the Pescherie della Rocca in Lugo from 7 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, as part of the initiatives for the Centenary of the Museo Baracca. A dedicated catalogue is also planned, on sale at the Museum's bookshop. The event is promoted by the Comune di Lugo.
