From 25 July to 1 November 2026, Pavullo nel Frignano hosts 'The Metamorphoses of Trees', an exhibition of the Alberi Festival project promoted by the Municipality of Modena with the Fondazione Archivio Leonardi. The exhibition is divided between two venues of Palazzo Ducale and connects the dynamism of nature—seasonality, growth, transformation, shadows, colours and adaptation—with artistic practices. At the Galleria d'Arte Contemporanea the focus is the work of Cesare Leonardi, with design, photographs and architectural projects that explore the metamorphosis of space and the relationship between built forms and trees. At the Galleria Francesco IV d'Este, installations and sculptures by Francesco Fantoni and Andrea Cavani are presented. The exhibition opens with a vernissage on 25 July and closes on 1 November with a finissage combining a concert and a conference; during the exhibition period, guided tours, educational workshops and workshops are planned.
