Ogni Creatura – A contemporary nativity scene in the spirit of Saint Francis
Museo Mulino Sapignoli, Poggio Torriana (RN)
Organised by Comune di Poggio Torriana
The Museo Mulino Sapignoli in Poggio Torriana hosts the site-specific art installation "Ogni Creatura", a contemporary nativity scene inspired by Saint Francis of Assisi, in the year of the eighth centenary of his death. The immersive route winds through the rooms of the old mill with a stylised forest made of fir wood, inhabited by a flock of birds made from carpentry scraps. The heart of the installation is a large nest of willow branches with a small warm light that evokes the Nativity, accompanied by sounds, words, lights and shadows. The project is enriched by the involvement of the fifth-year classes of the area's primary schools in creative workshops for making the birds. The initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Poggio Torriana and the display remains open to visitors from 8 December 2026 and indicatively throughout the month of January 2027.
