Piazza Cavour
Organised by Comune di Rimini
Rimini switches on its Christmas lights on Saturday 21 November, in the late afternoon, in Piazza Cavour. The square hosts a light and entertainment show that kicks off the Christmas festivities. The lights stretch over 100 kilometres and extend from the historic centre to the marina, from the villages to the countryside, with overhead lights and light installations. The switching on opens the programme of the "Longest New Year in the world", the schedule that accompanies the city throughout the winter. The initiative is promoted by the Comune di Rimini.
