Centro storico di Riolo Terme
Organised by Pro Loco di Riolo Terme APS
On Saturday 31 October 2026, Riolo Terme hosts the 33rd edition of Samhain, the Celtic New Year that Romagna celebrates as its own Halloween. The event revives traditions linked to the end of the harvest and the arrival of winter, with symbolic rituals, fires and tales of spirits. Throughout the day the historic centre comes alive with the Samhain Market in Corso Matteotti, the hunt for the seven seals in Piazza Mazzanti and narrated visits to the Rocca. From afternoon to evening there is a continuous programme of street performances, music, dances, fire games and DJ sets, culminating in the procession of Light and Darkness that precedes the fireworks display from the Rocca. At the food stalls, volunteers prepare piadine, arrosticini, polenta, strozzapreti with sausage and Sangiovese, and passatelli in capon broth, accompanied by craft beers and wines. The event is organised by the Pro Loco of Riolo Terme with the support of the Municipality of Riolo Terme.
