Summer farmers' market in the ZTL

For the summer months, the San Lazzaro farmers' market moves to the ZTL of via della Repubblica, between piazza Bracci and the 2 Agosto park. A more compact and shaded area than the usual location, where every Wednesday farmers bring fruit, vegetables and local specialties. The weekly appointment continues until the end of August, with a break on July 29 to make room for the traditional Fiera di San Lazzaro. The stalls are open to the public from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Portico della Pace: events to spread the culture of peace

Bologna (BO)

The Portico della Pace returns with a widespread series of free events throughout Bologna to promote the culture of peace and nonviolence. The common thread is "Zone d'ombra - guerre ignorate" (Shadows - ignored wars), five public meetings that focus on forgotten conflicts: Srebrenica and the Balkans, Congo, Ukraine and Palestine, with exhibitions and debates at venues such as the Auditorium Gamaliele, the Antoniano and the Bertasi neighborhood center. Alongside the themed evenings, the program includes the opening of the new Casa della Pace at Strada Maggiore 4, a physical and digital space for nonviolent communication workshops, disarmament campaigns and promotion of the Universal Civil Service. Also on the calendar are the Festa della Repubblica che ripudia la guerra (Republic Day that rejects war) on June 2, 2026, training activities for teachers and students, and the 11th Marcia della pace e dell'accoglienza (Peace and Welcome March) on January 1, 2027. All events are free admission.

The Museo Internazionale e Biblioteca della Musica di Bologna hosts, for the first time in Italy, the photographic exhibition Queen The Last Tour, dedicated to the Magic Tour of 1986, Queen's last tour with the complete historic lineup. The exhibition, curated by Pascal Casadei van Raamsdonk, features shots by Swedish photographer Torleif Svensson and a selection of original memorabilia, including a stage garment worn by Freddie Mercury during the final concert at Knebworth Park. The setup celebrates the fortieth anniversary of that legendary tour, offering an intimate look at the band's live moments and behind the scenes.
