Talks and conferences Festa Internazionale della Storia 2026 – “Il tempo del Mercante a Borgo”

From September 3 to November 11, 2026, the Festa Internazionale della Storia returns to Fidenza, this year with the title "Il tempo del Mercante a Borgo". Fifteen events including conferences, narrative paths, reenactments and shows tell the transformation of Borgo San Donnino in the second half of the 14th century, under the Visconti lordship.
The program focuses on the figure of the merchant and the urban evolution of the city, with evening meetings in the courtyard of the Palazzo Municipale and at the Museo del Risorgimento L. Musini. Among the most anticipated events are the historical lantern procession in Piazza Garibaldi (September 29), the "Passamano di mille pani" for schools in Piazza Duomo (October 2) and the fire show "Fuochi magici" (October 4).
The series also touches places in the area: the Castello di Bargone hosts a historical narrative path, while a conference is scheduled in Castione Marchesi at the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta. On October 17, the Palazzo Municipale hosts the awarding of the Premio Don Amos Aimi.
